Dear SANS Member,
The ALBA Network (for diversity and equity in brain sciences) and the World Women in Neuroscience (improving career development, mentoring and networking opportunities for female neuroscientists) are partnering to organise a webinar on equity, inclusion and diversity issues in brain research in the African continent. The webinar is called What it takes to succeed as a neuroscientist in Africa, and will be held on Wednesday 2nd February 2022 at 2-3.30 pm CET.
We are writing to kindly ask for your help in:
– Spreading the word about the webinar. Registrations can be done here: https://www.alba.network/alba-wwn-webinar-africa
– Disseminating to your members and a maximum of neuroscientists in Africa this survey:
Survey for WWN and ALBA Need Assessment Survey – Google Forms
The survey is a tool for us to get feedback from the neuroscience community in Africa on issues linked to diversity that they may encounter in their career and life as researchers.
The results of this survey will be presented (anonymously) during the webinar.
Ideally, we would like to receive a maximum of response to the survey by the 17th of January 2022.
Please find below my signature two promotional texts: one for the webinar, one for the survey.
Thank you very much in advance for your help.
Don’t hesitate to contact me should you need further information.
Wishing you a happy new year.
Kind regards,
Mathilde Maughan (she/her) – Project & Network Manager
