The National Research Foundation (NRF) in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) are pleased to announce the call for Postdoctoral Fellowship applications for 2018 in the following categories:

1. NRF- Free-standing Postdoctoral Fellowships (local and abroad);
2. Innovation Postdoctoral Fellowships; and
3. Scarce Skills Development Fund Postdoctoral Fellowships
Successful applicants must undertake full-time Postdoctoral research. The Fellowships cannot be held concurrently with any salaried full-time employment.

4. RF – TWAS Postdoctoral Fellowships Call for 2018
The National Research Foundation (NRF) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of South Africa, in partnership with The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), which is based in Italy, are pleased to announce the call for applications for the NRF – TWAS Postdoctoral Fellowships for 2018.
These fellowships are open to permanent residents from eligible developing countries other than South Africa.
